Mini Cats is here, and it's ONLY for girls.

What better way to celebrate International Women's Day than to launch our very own girls only football - Mini Cats.

We told you a while a go something was coming and some of you may have twigged on after seeing our coverage of the SheBelieves cup in the United States of America. Well done you.

The success of the England’s Women at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup captured the attention and hearts of the nation. The bronze medal-winning Lionesses spoke of inspiring the next generation and creating a legacy. They certainly did just that. The FA took over the running of the women’s game in 1993 and with almost 2.5 million registered players, football is now the top participation sport for women and girls in England.

The stats on women's football are truly amazing, but don't just take our word for it, have look yourself at what the FA have to say by visiting the link below.

The FIFA Women's World Cup is less than three months away, the Lionesses laid down a marker by winning the prestigious SheBelieves Cup earlier this week. They topped the table by drawing with Brazil and beating both the US and Japan. The Lionesses’ build-up to France 2019 continues with four testing home matches, against Canada and Spain in April, Euro 2017 runners-up Denmark in May and New Zealand in June.

Women’s football has flourished in recent years, and interest in football played by women is currently at an all-time high. FIFA believes that women’s football still has even more potential for growth. The FA have a plan on how to realise this growth and you can see it yourself on the link below.

And it's thank you to the FA, that we are able to bring you our plan to grow women's football and further give back to our community. Starting on Friday the 5th April, we will be delivering weekly sessions for girls only aged 5-11. We're not here just for the holidays, but here throughout the year. We've been wanting to do something like this for a long time and now feels like the perfect time to do it. Our weekly sessions will be delivered by both male and female coaches. Having female coaches is something we thought was an important must have to be that inspiration for our Mini Cats.

To really help kick this off with a bang and help inspire young girls to join in, we are giving away 20 FREE pairs of child and adult tickets to the England vs Spain friendly on the 9th April in Swindon. These tickets will be given to players who attend our first launch session.

Our sessions will available for all abilities and designed for girls that just want to have fun, pardon the pun. We'll take them through the basics and help them develop at a pace that suits them. We look forward to welcoming you all.
